PDC bits are widely used for wells drilling. One of the main problems of PDC bits operation at a well bottom is the transverse force arising from the interaction of the bits cutting structures with the rock. The cause of this force is the imbalance in bits’ cutting structures design, which is understood as the uneven force and power loading of PDC cutters. To study the force and power loading of PDC bits cutters installed in individual sections of a bit profile, an experimental bench is designed and built. When drilling a rock block by PDC bit cutters, the bench allows to measure and digitally record three mutually perpendicular components of the load on the cutter during reproduction of the given section of the bit profile. The article describes the bench, including a detailed description of the strain gauge, which measures three components of the load on PDC cutter, presents the calibration procedure and the resulting calibration dependencies as well as an assessment of the systematic error in the measurement of the forces.

Keywords: PDC bits; imbalance of bits’ cutting structure design; PDC cutters; experimental bench; three mutually perpendicular load components on the cutter; strain gauge; calibration dependencies; systematic error.

The article is dedicated to the development and research of electronic converters of registration channels of water and sand inclusions in the flow of gas and gas-condensate wells production used in the information and measuring systems of "Potok" ("Flow") series. Such electronic converters are designed for output signals processing of the primary measuring converter (MC), that provides recording turbulence fluctuations, caused by the movement of a high-velocity flow of gas-liquid mixture via a narrowing device as well as fluctuations that are the result of the particles shock impact on the device body. The description of the developed electronic block as well as the results of a complex research together with the primary measuring converter on the specialized experimental installations, allowing to simulate water and sand-air flows of different adjustable ratios of air and inclusions is presented. Special attention is paid to the results of the study of the thermostability characteristics of the updated primary measuring converter and electronic blocks. The obtained technical solutions are practically confirmed during construction of "Potok" measuring systems of new generation, that differ from the previous ones by wider operational characteristics.

Acid fracturing is a relatively simple and inexpensive technique of oil recovery enhancement from carbonate formations, which has become widespread by now. The modeling of acid fracturing is often approached from the same positions as to the modeling of proppant fracturing despite the fact that the mechanisms of a high-conductivity channel formation are significantly different. During the acid fracturing, this channel is formed due to the rock dissolution by the acid penetrating into the thickness of the formation through the walls of the previously created fracture. Modern simulators believe that the reaction occurs on the surface of the crack and the calculation of its conductivity is based on various empirical correlations, which can be unreasonable and insufficient for reliable estimation. The article analyzes various modern approaches to modeling the acid flow along a fracture and methods of its conductivity estimation. These approaches are primarily based on various correlations that take into account the compressive stresses of the formation, the time required for the acid contact with fracture margins, mineralogical and petrophysical heterogeneities of the rock, and other factors.

Keywords: acid fracturing; carbonate formation; the Berman problem; convection-diffusion equation; conductivity of the crack that is the result of acid fracturing; the Nierode-Kruk correlation; Deng-Mou correlation; large-scale models of acidic effects.

Statements and algorithms to be applied for solving the problem of optimal distribution of the specified amount of gas-condensate production among the wells of a gas-condensate field are proposed. Different variants of the initial state of the gas-condensate field (the initial reservoir pressure is either higher, lower or equal to the condensation starting pressure) are studied. An example is given that illustrates the application of the proposed approach to the specified problems salvation. It is shown that the proposed algorithms, in contrast to the optimization methods implemented in hydrodynamic simulators, provide a significant time reduction, while allowing an approximate solution close to optimal one.

Gas flow-rates measurements at the vast majority of gas wells of the Cenomanian deposits are missing. The existing methods of gas production determination (based on the results of GDI, etc.) are erroneous and incorrect. The liquid presence in the system of a reservoir-gas gathering network, typical for the final stage of the development, distorts the estimated characteristics of the wells and leads to the incorrect determination of the gas flow rates and impossibility of the operational control and management of such wells. The aim of the paper is to assess the differences between the real gas flow rates and the calculated values as well as the effect of various types of constriction devices used to measure gas flow rates on the pre-operational characteristics of the wells. As a result, it is established that the gas flow rates (calculated and real ones) can differ by several times. Constriction devices influence on the wells flow rates has been estimated, the gas wells flow-rate limitation can reach about 3 %. It has been found out that gas wells flow-rate is less restricted when using constriction devices like the Venturi meter. The results of the article can be used at the stages of designing and reconstruction of gas production objects.

Keywords: liquid effect; constriction devices; gas wells flow-rates; pressure drop.
