When measuring the torque dynamic constituents by a variation structure there revealed two shortcomings, greatly limiting its application: firstly, uncertainty of the measurement result under the set permanent values of a motor drive power and, secondly, cut-off of low-frequency range of the input signals as a result of the differentiating characteristics of measuring channels. The authors propose a synthesized torque meter free of the above-mentioned drawbacks. The essence of the proposal is the synthesis of the variation structure of the torque measurement in case of the indirect method of measurement on the example of a measuring instrument to drive the drill rig with a DC electric motor. Adjusted variation structure allows eliminating differentiation property, which leads to an increase of the frequency range of the input signals up to the values of f = 0 and automatic elimination of the appearance of the uncertainty occurrence of the measurement result. The estimation of the meter dynamic properties, which are completely determined by the time constants of low-pass filters in the measurement channels of a drive motor current and the channel angular velocity measurement. The effect of the difference ratios of the measuring channels’ inertial properties on the variance of the measurement result estimation and, consequently, on the random error value, is determined. Some mathematical simulation modeling of the meter and the drive on the basis of Monte Carlo method, which allowed carrying out the calculation of random errors and identifying their dependence on the ratios of the measurement channels’ inertial characteristics are performed. Based on studies conducted, there determined the maximum value of torque measurement error, that allowed making a conclusion about the metrological involvement of the synthesized meter. It is shown that the proposed torque meter is suitable for all kinds of motor drives with meters-converters into electrical value.

When a drill pipe string rotation due dissipative forces effect there appear relaxation oscillations of the drill pipe string, which, under certain conditions, such as the axial load change, can cause forced oscillations of the drive engine operational mode. Thus, the drive engine power starts to change in compliance with the harmonic law at a frequency equal to the frequency of the drill pipe string’s relaxation oscillations. That drive motor operational mode is close to an emergency one and should be immediately stopped. The mode of forced auto-oscillations of a drive engine mode is determined by the dynamic disequilibrium in the system «drill pipe string – drive» and a violation of this balance is determined by the breakdown of the stable dynamic operational mode of the system. It is shown that the stability of the «drill pipe string – drive» operational system can be provided by a definite ratio of the inertia moments of the «top» and the «bottom» of the drill pipe string, i. e. stable regime corresponds to the ratio of these moments according to the inequality I1 / I2 > 0,2. According to this conclusion, it is necessary to slack-off the «bottom» and to weigh the column the «top» of a drill pipe string to eliminate the relaxation oscillations. This ratio increases energy accumulation at the top of the drill pipe string and decrease its accumulation in the bottom part. The dynamic equilibrium of «drill pipe string – drive» system does not depend on the type of the drive movement but is determined either by the inertia moments ratio or by the energy ratio or by power ratio.
Key words: dynamic equilibrium; dynamic stability; moment of inertia; relaxation auto-oscillations.

The paper present the results of studies aimed at operational efficiency enhancement of jet rolling-cutter drill bits. On the basis of the washing fluid flows in a well’s bottom zone during operation of a rolling-cutter drill bit there identified some areas of «stagnant» zones predominant formation. In order to eliminate this negative phenomenon there developed some conceptual scheme of a rolling-cutter drill bit with specially oriented jet assemblies and helical equipment.
Key words: rolling-cutter drill bit; helical equipment; non-Newtonian fluid.
