The article analyzed the experience and the current situation of exploration drilling on the Arctic continental shelf. The drilling strategy, along with the Arctic region natural and climatic conditions, is essentially determined by the technical accessibility of the license areas, which depend on the reached level of equipment and technology.

From 2014, the United States, the EU and several other countries introduced anti-russian sanctions. The sectoral sanctions, relating to the prohibition of the access to the technologies used in the projects on the Arctic shelf, have become their important element.

The purpose of the study was to evaluate the degree of influence of the sectoral anti-russian sanctions on exploration drilling in the Arctic seas. The exploration drilling, as the object of study, was not chosen by chance, since this is the very stage of the majority of the Russian Arctic projects development.

To follow the given strategy of drilling it is necessary to timely monitor violations of the technological process and to eliminate various failures of the operating parameters. To do this it is required to use control-measuring devices that would allow the dynamic increment identification of drilling operating parameters in the technological cycle with a high resolution. The use of two-input control systems, built on variation structures in accordance with the Yagubov – Perminov method, allows to successfully solve the set problem: two-input control systems allow not only to track the dynamic increment of drilling operational parameters, but also to realize the functional dependencies between them.

Two-input control systems are characterized by low error of measurement which during indirect measurement (e. g., torque gradient) can be reduced to zero, by high resolution, high sensitivity, possibility of changing of dynamic and frequency properties using the setting parameters. Cutting of the signals constant components at the input of measurement channels allows to fully eliminate the statistical error. A shortcoming of the two-input control systems is a dynamic error presence. However, using these or those methods, the dynamic measurement error can be significantly reduced. To do this, the method of alignment of measurement channels dynamic properties, using the adjustment parameters m, T1, T2, can be widely applied.

Measurement errors of two-input control systems in a static (steady-state) mode of the object, subjected to measurement, are extremely small and can be practically compensated by matching the adjustment parameters of the measurement channels.

However, the operating parameters of the drilling technological process, are, as a rule, of dynamic measurements unpredictable character, and this fact brings significant measurement errors associated with the dynamics. The causes of dynamic errors occurrence directly in the measurement channels of two-input control systems are inertial processes that appear due to the presence of aperiodic links of the variation structures. Herewith, it should be borne in mind that the variation structures reaction is ambiguous, and pays no effect on input signal form. Rationing dynamic errors for such options of measurement schemes construction is practically lacking, that’s why there is nearly no information on their evaluation in the technical literature.

The article analyzes the measurement channel response of the two-input control system to dynamic effect. The following three different types of impacts are considered:

1. Harmonic effects;

2. A single step exposure;

3. The impact with the arbitrary form of the signal.

It is shown that in case of a measurement sinusoidal signal the dynamic error is determined by amplitude and phase components. The value of these components depends on the ratio of the period of the measured signal τ and the time averaged constant of the variation structure T of the measurement channel. Herewith, based on the conducted analysis, the dynamic error reduction requires meeting the condition τ > T.

If the measured signal is presented in the form of a first-kind jump, the dynamic error is determined by the starting time of the information reading (conversion). Since the output signal of the measurement channel is changed exponentially from the moment of the input signal receipt, the reading moment with the full compensation of the dynamic error should match the time of reaching of the transition function maximum.

Under the influence of the arbitrary waveform, the dynamic error is determined as the mathematical expectation of the error of a series of isochronous samples of the measurement result in the interval |t0; t1|.

The article presents results of plasma technology application to strengthen the elements of rolling-cutter drill bits. Based on the analysis of the most worn out parts of bearing assemblies of rolling-cutter drill bits, the main reinforcement elements, such as bearing raceways, were chosen both from the side of the rolling-cutter and the leg.

The studies resulted in fixing the optimal materials, parameters and modes of the wear-resistant coating’s plasma spraying on bearing assemblies’ raceways of rolling-cutter drill bits.

The practical use of studies’ results will allow to significantly increase the reliability and operational life-time of bearing assemblies of rolling-cutter drilling tools and, consequently, the efficiency aa well as to reduce drilling cost.

The article presents the results of some special design change, made in the «cylinder-plunger» couple, to reduce its wear-out – hat's an additional component (centering element) and a packing unit have been installed.

Such design change resulted in provision of the alignment of the plunger and the pump cylinder, which reduces wear-out of these components, oil leakage through annular gap between the cylinder and the pump plunger as well as the pump delivery coefficient.

The given proposal is of practical value, as it increases the operational life of the pump.

This article presents the actual indicators of a field development. Practical operation of a reservoir matrix acidizing is simulated by means of the software (StimCADE) to assess the results and the well’s work after acidizing. Furthermore, squeezing rate and active composition amount were optimized to minimize the damage of the well’s bottom zone rock.

When comparing the results of the real acid treatment, which was carried out in the field, with the results of the optimized acidizing, the positive effect was noted in case of the optimized technology of the matrix acid treatment due to the reduction of the skin-factor effects of a carbonate reservoir. The results of the real acid treatment also proved the fact that HCl 28 % as the first block of the used composition and HCl 15 % as the second one, lead to a better result.
