The article considers a method of calculation of loads on the blades deflection of the «push-the-bit» rotary steerable systems (RSS) in terms of the theoretical mechanics. Since one of the key disadvantages of RSS is its high cost, the problem of exclusion of failures and breakdowns of the system, the loss of wells’ assembly parts is particularly acute. It is known that in the «push-the-bit» rotary steerable systems (RSS) the deflecting module (bias unit) is subjected to the greatest mechanical load. The working element of the module is the diverting pedals, put forward by the drill mud energy. The article presents the results of the simulation of loads on RSS in a well with account the axial load, own weight and friction. Recommendations on the lubricating additives concentration in the drilling fluid to reduce the load on the deflection module are given. Technical characteristics and dimensions of PowerDrive X5-675 rotary steerable system, manufactured by Schlumberger, are used for the development of the model.

Keywords: rotary steerable systems (RSS); push-the-bit; deflecting module; bias unit; load simulation.

Since the main purpose of the two-way control systems is to carry out indirect measurements, for example, torque, then the analysis of the measurements dynamics for these conditions is highly expedient. Estimations of dynamic and frequency components of the measurement results in case of indirect measurements are practically absent in the technical literature, that’s why the analysis of these errors occurrence, the causes of their origin and the techniques of errors compensation in indirect measurement methods using the two-way control systems are highly relevant.

Presence of two measurement channels with similar properties in the control system allows to use this fact during indirect measurements, such as torque measurement, providing mutual compensation of their dynamics. In case of the dynamic properties identity of the measuring channels it allows almost complete compensation of the majority of dynamic errors. The shortcoming is the inability of a dynamic error compensation when transmitting the input signals to the measurement channels with a time shift, which is an extremely rare event in indirect measurements.

Frequency components of measurement errors are well compensated when measuring torques.

It is noted that use of two-way control systems during indirect torque measurements and adjustment of variation structures parameters, which provide their pair-by-pair equality, can ensure complete elimination of dynamic and frequency errors, except for the dynamic error caused by the time shifting of the input signals.

In should be kept in mind that the frequency spectrum of the signals from the sensors that measure the drilling parameters modes is very small and lies in the low frequency range with the higher limiting frequency of about fh.l. ≤ 1000 Hz. Parameters of adjustment of aperiodic links of measuring channels’ variation structures should be chosen in compliance with this specific feature of measurement.

A new method for removing sandy-clay plug in a well and its development under conditions of abnormally low reservoir pressures is proposed, based on the fact that a flexible column of pipes equipped with a hydraulic hammer is introduced into the axial channel of the tubing column, with axial movement and working fluid feeding into it while maintaining the initial depression on the reservoir.

The practical application of the new method for removing sandy-clay plug in a well will significantly reduce the costs of this type of complication elimination as well as significantly improve the efficiency of wells development, especially in conditions of abnormally low reservoir pressures.

Power take-off from the drive motor increases sharply in case of relaxation oscillations of a drill pipe string. This leads to appearance of self-oscillation of the drive motor power. It is possible to fix the process of occurrence of the drill string’ relaxation oscillations by the appearance of the harmonic component of the drive motor power. There appears the problem of finding a method to identify the harmonic component of the power in the overall flow of information about the power for further use of the signal to compensate for the relaxation oscillations.

The possibility of using the power of the measurement variation structure to allocate oscillations. However, despite a number of the scheme advantages, the variation structure has a limited variation frequency bandwidth, which results in the deformation of the frequency of the measured signal and the occurrence of dynamic errors during further control of the drilling process.

The most rational solution, in the authors’ opinion, is the use of two-way systems of torque control (according to the Yagubov – Perminov method). Since the value of the torque is numerically proportional to the drive motor power, the signal generated at the output of the control system can successfully be used as a variable component of the power.

A particular case, when the time constants of the aperiodic links of measuring channels’ variation structures can be pairwise equated to each other, can be implemented in the two-way control systems. In this case, the transmittance function of the two-way control system turns into a static transmission factor, which corresponds to turning the control system into a static link with the transmission factor k. It is known that the static link introduces neither time nor frequency distortions to the information transmission system. Therefore, when transmitting the harmonic signal through the torque control system the output signal will not have a frequency deformation, thus contributing to a further dynamic error compensation when controlling the drilling process.

Well construction technology should provide high-quality separation of reservoirs, the reliability and durability of an object as well as prevent penetration of plugging solution and working fluid in a reservoir bottom-hole zone, maintain its reservoir characteristics. However, the problem of qualitative cementing is still unsolved – full prevention of the reservoir gas show is not possible despite the use of modern annular packer elements, improved compositions of plugging solutions, etc. One of the important ways of solving the problem of reservoir fluids migration in the annular space is the use of special process fluids during well construction.

The article is devoted to the development of the design calculation method to be applied when hardening tanks of liquefied gas by means of their reinforcement by rods made of the shape memory alloys (SMA). Titanium nickelide rods are used to reinforce external concrete walls of large-dimensional double-hermitized tanks, storing liquified natural gas (LNG), erected in the geotechnical conditions of the Far North. An option of the design strength calculation of the tank’s pre-stressed structural parts, reinforced by titanium nickelide rods, is proposed. A range of deformations caused by implementation of a memory shape effect providing the required strength of the tank’s walls is determined. It is proved that the value of the reinforcement coefficients pays practically no impact on the tank walls.

At present, due to the increase of energy consumption and constant growth of energy prices, problems of constructing plants of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and its export become urgent. It will provide the possibility to solve gas supply problems in remote and inaccessible territories, where construction of pipelines is technically difficult or economically non-feasible. To provide LNG storage, isothermal tanks, the traditional design of which envisages pre-stressing of the external walls by the steel reinforcement, which corrodes over time and often fails to cope with the stresses arising in the walls, causing their fracturing.

Due to the inefficiency of steel reinforcement for large-scale structures the article considers the use of reinforcement of the shape memory alloys (SMA). Titanium nickelide is one of the most well-known materials with MSM. It is an alloy that combines high mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, damping capacity and functional properties related to the reversibility of large inelastic deformations.

COATING OF THE PIPELINES INTERNAL SURFACES

BY USING THE SYSTEM OF DUAL SCRAPERS (p. 38)

The article discusses in detail the method of extrusion of a pipeline internal surface coating by a dual scraper in field conditions. It is noted that this method can be in efficient when preventive maintaining of pipeline systems, thus providing considerable economic benefits. Herewith, the pipeline replacement is not required as it keeps the operational capacity. On the other hand, when non-standard products are transported, maintenance expenses become minimum and the number of periodic cleaning decreases. To get a highly-qualitative coating of a pipeline internal surface it is recommended to use the following measures: thorough preparation of the surface to be protected; correct choosing of the coating material; strict following of technology when coating the internal surface of the pipeline; control of all technological procedure parameters when coating pipelined by dual scrapers use.

Proceeding from the above-said, this profitable method is suggested for application in all pipelines of our Republic and in main pipelines of other countries.
