A brief review of related complications as well as the results of work in difficult conditions in different areas of the region as well as recommendations on the regulation of their parameters is presented. Based on the above said, the main directions that contribute to ensuring trouble-free drilling of wells when opening of the Quaternary, Cretaceous, Jurassic, Triassic and, partially, Permian deposits are determined.

Mining-geological conditions of deep oil and gas wells drilling in in the southern territory of the Siberian platform differ by high complexity, thus affecting the project decisions and construction. The complicating factor are specific features of cavernous-fracture carbonate collectors.

Development of a carbonate collector geological model should be carried out individually, considering the conditions of each field. The lack of a correct geological model and scientifically-based approach to development of carbonate productive layers can be the reason for not achieving wells project flow-rates, decreasing of fields reserves coverage and, respectively, an oil recovery coefficient. The developed system of fractures, differences in reservoirs characteristics, stress-stained state of a carbonate rock-collector within one field and thermobaric parameters of a formation hydrocarbon system brings additional restrictions when projecting development of deposits by drilling.

Geological and real geological-field and geological-technical data when drilling wells in the south of the Siberian platform are collected. The analysis and additional researches are conducted.

Stress-state of the collectors’ massif deserves special attention as living conditions of the environment-technical system. Study and research of the processes occurring in carbonate cavernous-fracture collectors during the completion cycle of works allows to predict the reaction of the rock massif when applying repression (the initial opening of a collector during wells-drilling) and depression (testing and developing of a well, layer).

Pressure effect of any sign attached to a formation hydrocarbon system through a circulating system of wells can transfer a fracture collector, located within the area of hydrodynamic influence, namely, near bottom-hole zone, in repression/depression hole, into other stress state characterized significantly by essentially different parameters of a collector. If this transition is uncontrollable and non-predicted, it is possible to significantly reduce characteristics of a collector.

Keywords: fracture collector; drilling; fractures fixation; bottom-hole pressure.

Side tracks drilling ensures effective production of hard-to-recover hydrocarbon reserves of oil and gas fields. The most promising is coiled tubing drilling. The existing coiled tubing steel drill strings, their manufacturers and the main technical parameters are considered. An alternative option for sidetracking are polymer armored pipes made of polyethylene and polypropylene reinforced with steel wire, tape, threads. Strength parameters of pipes and materials for their manufacture are presented. The load on a bit in the horizontal section of the lateral trunk is determined. Having estimated the friction losses, it is established that it is necessary to create an additional load on a bit in a horizontal trunk. The construction of a hydraulic loader and the results of its bench testing are proposed. The results of the experimental drilling are submitted.

Keywords: sidetrack drilling; coiled tubing; casing string; load on the bit; loader; testing; polymeric reinforced pipes; field and bench tests.

To study the work of the drilling rock-destroying tool at a borehole bottom, the interaction of each cutter with rock as an element of a single and interconnected system is proposed for consideration.

The sequence of stages of drilling tools work study at the borehole bottom is described, the parameters that are defined as a result of the systems approach application based on an analytical and experimental study of the complex rock destruction process by a diamond tool are enumerated.

The fundamental role of the rock destruction mechanism when developing the tool operation analytical model at the borehole bottom is determined. Based on the analysis of the works carried out earlier, the dependence of the change of a cutting tool insertion depth into the rock on the drilling mode, physical-mechanical characteristics of the rock, the size, shape and type of diamond cutters treatment is obtained by means of analytical studies.

The estimation and description of the role of actively working diamond cutting tools is given.

It is determined that the condition for rocks effective destruction by a diamond cutting tool is limited by the range of the resistance coefficient values μê = 0,15…0,40.

Keywords: rock destruction; borehole bottom interaction; modeling; coefficient of resistance; stress; cutting tool; destruction depth; cutting tool insertion depth.

During operation a drill string undergoes rotational and translational movements and, in addition, due to the interaction between the cutting tool and the rocks – the cutting factor with all the loads appearing in this process – there occurs one more force effect on the drill string – torsion. As a result of these forces, the drill string is deformed and, consequently, deviates from the straightness.

The most dangerous for the drill strings are alternating loads (for example, the vibrating effect and clearly expressed heterogeneity of the rock, i. e. its density), which may be several times lower than the static ones, but constantly change the direction vector, thereby, creating conditions for the gradual intensification of fatigue destruction of the pipe body. The situation is complicated by the fact that such loads are difficult to predict, and the time of their impact is quite long.

The most loaded sections of drill pipes – connecting threads – are especially susceptible to fracture-shaped defects development. These elements in their profile have a minimum cross-sectional area, besides, the thread is a concentrator of increased internal stress, especially in the zone from the first to the fifth coil.

Thus, the threaded sections of pipes are the most responsible loaded elements, responsible for the reliability and safety of a drill string operation and requiring careful monitoring of the technical state by non-destructive methods.

The use of lightweight cement materials for the construction of oil and gas wells is one of the main conditions to ensure the required lifting of the cement height to the design height. Herewith, to improve the support integrity it is advisable to use expanding cements, which in the intervals of using lightweight cements do not give a good effect because of the increased water-cement ratio. This leads to an increase in the distance between the products of hydration and the decrease in pressure developed by the expanding additive. A prospective way to increase the expansion effect in lightweight cements is a dispersed reinforcement. Studies have shown that reinforcing additives contribute to the expansion of lightweight cements by transferring pressure from the expanding additive to cement hardening products through a framework formed by fibro-reinforcing elements. It increases the strength limit of the cement stone for bending and compression as well as improves impact resistance and increases the expansion effect. At fiber concentrations up to 0,5 %, it does not significantly affect the rheological characteristics of the cement material. All types of fibers do not significantly affect the water loss of cement solutions, but they effectively reduce their water separation.

Keywords: cement slurry; fibre-reinforcement; well construction; rheological characteristics; water loss.

The time interval (drilling window) in which offshore drilling of exploration wells is possible is a significant factor affecting the development of offshore fields in the Arctic. Basically, the drilling window is determined by hydrometeorological conditions and the type of drilling rig used. It is shown that the drilling window depends on the possibility of using the ice management system. The development of ice management systems should provide new opportunities for the discovery of new oil and gas fields in the Russian Arctic.

The data of a shear wave (DTshear) are important for geomechans modeling. But in some cases it is not recorded in all wells because of high cost or technological restriction. This article focuses on the urgent problem of prediction of a shear wave velocity in offshore oil and gas fields. The results of prediction of a shear wave velocity in fields of blocks 09-1 and 09-3/12 in Vietnam shelf are presented. The model of DTshear prediction is built by applying the method of multiple linear regression with the help of "Microsoft Excel" package. Then check up The model’s accuracy is tested in the adjacent exploratory wells.

Keywords: geomechanics; mechanical characteristics of rocks; Multiple Linear Regression Method; compressional wave velocity; shear wave velocity; logging data.
