When drilling horizontal wells using a downhole motor-diverter, there occur considerable friction forces, high risks of differential sticking of drilling tools, impossibility of effective cleaning of the horizontal wellbore from rock cuttings. Rotary steerable systems (RUS) made it possible to implement the technology of targeted borehole curvature with continuous rotation of the drill string by the rotor or top power drive.

When using the rotary method of directional drilling with RUS, the following technological tasks related to the rotation of the drill string are solved:

– effective destruction of rock;

– reduction of friction forces in the well;

– cleaning the wellbore from rock cuttings;

– formation of the wellbore without ledges and local curvature;

– elimination of differential sticking of the drill-pipe casing string.

Herewith, in order to effectively implement these tasks, the drill string sections, located in the vertical, inclined and horizontal wellbore, should be rotated at different frequencies, what cannot be done using a typically- designed drilling tool.

The technology of selective control of the drill-pipe casing string allows independent rotation of the drill string sections with different frequencies depending on the technological tasks of the interval in which they are located. The technology of selective control of the drill string will enhance the efficiency of drilling super-long horizontal and sub-horizontal wells, significantly increase the operational life-time of the drill pipes and elements of the drilling tool, reduce the risk of accidents and complications.

The paper presents the authors current research of abnormally permeable fractured reservoirs with abnormally high reservoir pressure (AHRP) when drilling wells. According to the exploration data for oil and gas in the Siberian platform area, the construction of various wells (parametric, prospecting and exploration, production), designed for hydrocarbons (HC) and brines extraction is characterized by complex geological-technical conditions of their drilling [1, 3]. The high flow rates of brine manifestations and AHRP seriously complicate productive wells drilling and testing [4, 22].

Abnormally high reservoir pressures with a gradient of up to 2,35...2,50 are typical for fluid (oil, gas, brine) systems in carbonate reservoirs of the middle part of the 1300...2200 m sedimentary cover in the south of the Siberian platform. Unexpected opening of fractured-veined zones by wells leads to emergency spouting of brine, brine-gas mixture with flow rates up to 7000 m3, or reservoir (degassed) oil. The coefficients of the abnormally high reservoir pressure of fluid systems vary from 1,269 to 1,600 and even 2,350...2,450. Wellhead pressure at the wellhead of a closed well, which opened a reservoir-collector with AHRP and filled with brine of 1410...1450 kg/m3 density, reaches 16,2...18,7 MPa. An additional problem is the process of deformation of a permeable fracture system in case of geological-mechanical conditions change, for example, in the well bottom zone when creating variable pressures (repression-depression) on the fluid-delivery system of the producing reservoir.

Production data were collected during drilling of deep oil and gas wells and industrial brines in the south of the Siberian platform. The studies are conducted. A deep well is considered as a bench for stage-by-stage interval testing of a geological cross-section opened by the well bottom.

The data collected from production facilities are analyzed. A technical-technological solution that raises the level of safety when drilling deep wells has been developed.

Using the well as a bench, a set of studies of the deposits, located in the inter-salt carbonate fractured reservoirs of the Cambrian stage, that are extremely saturated by brines, made it possible, at the first stage, to evaluate the possibility of using the filter curtain method in the abnormally-permeable fractured collector with AHRP.

The stability and estimation of stresses gradient limits on the wall of a directional well in the isotropic rock was studied with the help of the analytical solution of N.R. Rabinovich equation. Theoretical solution analysis resulted in obtaining the correlations for calculation of limited gradients of hydrofracturing and caving dependent on the zenith angle and mechanical properties of rocks. The Poisson ratio effect on the value of the maximum gradients of hydrofracturing and rocks crushing is analyzed. The conditions when these gradients of stress become close are determined and the window of drilling in a horizontal wellbore shuts in.

Keywords: inclined drilling; horizontal wellbore; isotropic rock; drilling window; stress gradient; zenith angle; physical-mechanical characteristics of rocks; strength limit.

The developments of computer measuring instruments based on two-input drilling parameters monitoring systems allowed to conduct production tests of the measuring instrument in the experimental well of "Eltech" Company in Usinska, Komi Republic. As a result of the tests, a number of advantages of the proposed system for drilling parameters control were revealed. It is shown that the computer measurement system allows not only to measure the monitored parameters, but also to track their temporal changes in real time. The monitoring system makes it possible to measure the following parameters:

1. Current torque value on the shaft of the rig drive

2. The current value of the drive power of the drill string drive

3. The gradient of the torque

The tests were carried out under different axial loads on the drilling tool, which allowed to obtain a whole set of new dependencies of the drilling modes, the use of which significantly facilitates the forecasting of the optimal drilling strategy. The effect of hard beating of a drill pipe casing string (relaxation oscillations in the drill string-drive system) was detected and their influence on the dynamics of the drilling process was determined. The frequency dependences of the mechanical part of the system on the axial load are determined. The dependence of the power consumption of the drive motor on the frequency of relaxation oscillations is determined, the dependence of the torque gradient on the magnitude of the axial load is revealed. The change of the torque current value from the axial load is determined as well.

In other words, the technique of measuring drilling parameters using two-input structures as a qualitatively new method of monitoring will allow not only to realize the measurement of the regime parameters and monitor their change in real time, but also to predict the optimal drilling strategy using the dependencies of their variation.

Keywords: two-input system; computer measurements; mode parameters; current parameter values; torque gradient.

The work is relevant due to the fact, that well-known catalogues and reference books lack basic indicators of the operation of positive displacement motors (PDM) required for solving a number of technological problems. For the correct use of bench tests indicators, the following definitions have been formulated: basic, working and reference performance indicators of a PDM. As a result of bench tests of the D-172.7/8HR56.100 motor under various fluid flow rates and torques on the rotor, a set of seven basic indicators (density and volumetric flow rate of the fluid, pressure drop and rotation speed both idling and under torque load), which should be mentioned in reference books, have been revealed. New formulae have been obtained for recalculation of basic indicators into the working ones corresponding to individual operating conditions of a motor in a well. Using new formulae for recalculation, two main technological problems have been solved: the pressure drops of the motor for calculation of the circulation system have been found and the pressure in the upriser characterizing the bit rotation frequency and load on it has been calculated. A test numerical example of recalculating of basic indicators into the working ones is considered.

Keywords: positive displacement motors; bench tests of PDM; recalculation of performance indicators of PDM; loss of fluid pressure in the motor; rotation frequency of the PDM rotor.

The paper deals with some design features of drilling rigs hoisting systems. It is indicated that the most responsible element of the hoisting system is the traction body – the hoisting rope. The main reason for the failure of the hoisting ropes is metal fatigue and mechanical wear due to work on pulleys and multilayer coiling on the drum of the drilling winch. A method of calculating the specific work of the hoisting rope, taking into account the parameters of the hoisting system and uneven wear of the rope along the length in the tooling. This technique allows you to objectively assess the technical resource of the hoisting ropes in different operating conditions, taking into account the parameters of the lifting system. Improving the accuracy of the calculation of the durability of the hoisting ropes will allow to adjust their working-out and specific consumption in different drilling conditions.

Keywords: drilling rig; wireline system; wire rope; hoisting rope; the specific work; method of calculating the specific work.
