The paper presents the analysis of the current state of wells cleaning from sludge when drilling oil and gas wells by means of rolling-cutter drill bits. The interdependencies of the main factors affecting the efficiency of a well bottom hole cleaning when drilling by means of rolling-cutter drill bits are established. The options for the most effective direction of the water jet for various types and designs of drill bit cutting structures as well as drilling conditions are analyzed. The necessity of taking measures to reduce the negative effect of shielding jets on the well bottom cleaning for jetting bits is grounded. The analysis shows the presence of significant reserves in improving the efficiency of a well bottom cleaning from sludge by optimizing the washing schemes and constructions of washing units.
Keywords: rolling-cutter drill bit; jetting nozzle; washing fluid.

Today, proceeding from the problems of oil and gas fields development of the Baykitsky oil- and gas-bearing territory, namely, increase of drilling commercial rate and decrease of accidents risks, it is necessary to solve the problem of efficiency enhancement of core sampling in difficult geological conditions. Production data were collected when drilling wells in Irkutsk region and Krasnoyarsk Krai. Their statistical analysis was conducted. The main problematic factor complicating the process of core sampling in pilot well bores of producing wells is an anisotropic fracturing and cavern porosity of non-uniformly silicified carbonate collector of the Riphean natural reservoir. The secondary processes of the Riphean ancient carbonate thicknesses formed the most extremely difficult, anisotropic by its physical-mechanical and filtration properties medium, one of the main processes of which was reservoirs silicification. As a result, big differences in drilling of both the vertical, inclined-directional well bore and the horizontal site are fixed. To predict the real distribution of the cross-section permeable intervals of (as well as the extent of silicification) is extremely difficult [4, 11, 25, etc.]. One more complicating factor, that decreases one-time drilling, are sticking during core sampling in directional well bores of operating wells in conditions of vertical and sub-vertical fracturing of a reservoir layer. Technical solutions are proposed for optimization of core sampling in complex fractured cavities in terms of increasing the mechanical speed and regular penetration.
Keywords: reservoir; sticking; core sampling; mechanical rate.

The article deals with the loss of coiled tubing stability under the action of axial compressive load, both at the bottom hole, and on the wellhead. The values of the critical axial forces of the first and second order are obtained. It has been established that in the bottom hole coiled tubing almost always loses its straight shape in a vertical well and becomes spatially spiraling. The results of calculations are also given, proving the fact that in wells with an inclined wellbore the coiled tubing spatial bending is not inevitable. The results of calculations of the axial compressive force for a coiled tubing section located at the wellhead are presented and analyzed. It has been established that the cause of the coiled tubing bending and destruction between the injector and the sealing element of the sealing agent can be formation of a gas-hydrate ice massif; this fact is confirmed in practice.
Keywords: coiled tubing; sealing agent; sealing element; bend; stability; axial force; complications; well repair.

According to a deterministic formula for estimating a shaft’s life-time operational period by the criterion of fatigue, it is established, by applying the method of statistical modeling, that the life-time operational period has a log-normal distribution when the initial arguments are subject to the normal law. The shaft reliability indicators were forecasted thus increasing trouble-free operation of the pump when drilling deep wells.

The necessity of an integrated approach to the improvement of various rock cutting drilling tools is substantiated. The interdependencies of the main factors affecting both tool wear and the efficiency of the bottom hole cleaning during drilling have been established. The necessity of carrying out comprehensive measures to further improve all major constructive elements of rock cutting drilling tools is proved. The analysis shows the presence of significant reserves in improving the efficiency of rock cutting drilling tools, as well as cleaning the well bottom from sludge by optimizing the schemes of washing and constructions of the flushing units.

Hydraulic specific features of the non-Newtonian fluids’ displacement in a concentric annular space are considered. Based on the results of numerical modeling of the displacement of Herschel – Balkley and Schulman – Casson fluids with a constant flow, a regression relationship has been established between the indices of volumetric replacement. The effect of flow rate changes during liquids injection on the indicators of displacement capacity has been shown.

The article presents the results of laboratory studies of wells killing fluids with a condensed solid phase. The dispersed systems specific features of this kind are revealed, and their positive characteristics are indicated. The results of the laboratory studies aimed at improving the stability of wells killing fluids with a condensable solid phase due to the use of chloride salts of alkali and alkaline earth metals – NaCl, KCl, CaCl2, MgCl2 – are presented. It has been revealed that sodium and potassium chloride salts have a high stabilizing effect which made it possible to significantly increase the sedimentation and aggregative stability of the disperse system under consideration. Optimal are the following concentrations of salt additives – 5,0 % wt. for NaCl and 7,5 % wt. for KCl. In addition, as a result of the experimental data analysis, it was found that the introduction of calcium chloride CaCl2 or magnesium MgCl2 into wells killing fluid formulation with a condensed solid phase adversely affects its technological parameters.

The present paper considers some specific features of fire extinguishing at the a well drilling site. The relevance of this topic is caused by the insufficient discussion of the problem in regulation-technical documentation, the high potential explosion hazards of the object under study and the distance from the locations of specialized fire and rescue units. The paper analyses the statistics of accidents in the drilling sites and fire hazards of drilling facilities, reveals specific features of a fire development in horizontal tanks of a fuel warehouse at a drilling site, discusses the plan of fire extinguishing in such warehouse. With account of the fire peculiarities the authors of the paper give recommendations on the calculation of the required fire-resistance water supply and provision of the safety of the fire crew staff and personnel involved in fire extinguishing. Application of the results obtained when designing drilling facilities will contribute to improving their fire safety. The recommendations can be used in the formation of fire suppression plans by the units of the Federal Fire-Protection Service for fires localization in wells clusters of oil and gas fields and warehouses of liquid motor fuel.

The pressure growth in the annular space results in the increase of back pressure on a formation and the decrease of well production. The process is accompanied by the take-off of the fluid dynamic level, the gas ingress into the pump, the reduction and loss of the pump delivery. This problem is especially burning in sealed pressure systems of oil, gas, and water collection, in which increased pressures of borehole fluid injection into the collector is envisaged. Various equipment and technologies of forced evacuation of gas from the annular space into the collector are used to stabilize the mode of operation and increase the production of oil wells. The authors of the paper propose a set of equipment for gas forced evacuation from the annular space of oil production wells into the collector. It provides stability of the oil production mode of oil wells, operates on the energy-saving principle with the use of formation energy, and has the possibility of using for different artificial lift methods in oil production by means of the installations fitted out with sucker-rod pumps, screw pumps, and electric centrifugal pumps.
