The paper discusses the problems of increasing the length of wells horizontal sections. In some cases, due to a decrease in the fluid specific flow rate, only 15 % of the horizontal wellbore length is in operation. A method for obtaining the best quality borehole when drilling a horizontal section is described. Optimal geometric parameters of non-oriented assemblies are recommended.

Keywords: horizontal section of wells; assembly of the bottom part of a drill string; opening of a remote section of the wellbore.

The paper is relevant, since the cost of drilling a well in chemogenic sediments can be significantly reduced using directional cavity formation and pre-drilling. The lack of generally accepted calculations for controlling the borehole diameter when drilling in salts and the imperfection of the available recommendations complicate the solution of the problems of regulating the process of cavity formation in salts. To eliminate these gaps, new calculated dependencies for the diffusion rate of salts of the borehole walls under conditions of natural and forced convection of viscous and viscous plastic drilling fluids with different salinity were obtained.

Keywords: salt deposits; directional cavity formation; advanced wellbore; salt diffusion rate; mass transfer; desalination of the solution.

One of the reasons for classifying wells construction as an environmentally hazardous type of economic activity is the formation and accumulation of drilling wastes at the working site, which are environmental pollutants. Traditionally, oil and gas companies and drilling contractors pay attention to drilling waste according to the "endofpipe" principle, when their maximum volume has been accumulated on the territory of the drilling site, and it is necessary to liquidate the earthen sludge pit and reclaim it within 7 months after the completion of the well construction disturbed lands. The main attention of researchers is paid to the issues of neutralization and disposal of drill cuttings, less often – waste water-based drilling mud, and the most voluminous waste – drilling waste water – remains out of sight. The known methods of disposal of drilling waste water are complex and require lengthy preparation.

The proposed technology differs from other known technologies in its extreme simplicity, does not require a permanent long-term presence at the drilling site of special expensive equipment, ensures a significant reduction in the volume of drilling waste on land, allows creating the best conditions for eliminating an earth storage pond for drilling waste and increasing the environmental efficiency of well construction dry land.

Keywords: wells construction; best available technologies; drilling waste; reduction of drilling waste volumes; drilling waste water; dewatering.

The causes of the incident that occurred during drilling due to clogging of the telemetry system by cement stone fragments were analyzed. It was found that the reason for the appearance of cement debris was a cement sheath appearance inside the drill string during repeated installations of cement bridges using the specified drilling tool. The studies carried out using X-ray phase and differential thermal analyzes have confirmed these assumptions.

Keywords: drill pipes; fragments of cement stone; analysis of cement stone; cement bridge.

The results of the work aimed at improving the drilling rock-cutting tool are presented. The operation of the drilling tool equipped with PDC cutting elements and its design features are analyzed. The construction of a core bit designed for drilling with core sampling is proposed, the use of which will increase the durability of this type of tool due to more reliable fixation of its rock cutters, preventing them from falling out, and enhance its calibrating ability.

Keywords: drilling tool; rock cutting elements; flushing channels; fixing pins.

The paper is devoted to the problems of preserving the reservoir characteristics of a productive formation by controlling the permeability of rocks in the well bottom zone. The paper presents the results of laboratory studies that were carried out to analyze the distribution of pores and their share in filtration processes in a carbonate and terrigenous complex of different permeability. The granular metric composition of the BARACARB carbonate bridging agent with a fineness of 5, 50 microns and their mixtures, as well as the effectiveness of its selection when using the Kauffer packing theory, have been determined. The core material filtration losses when using carbonate bridging colmatant depending on its fineness and comparing the results with the calculated data using the Kauffer theory were estimated, which made it possible to draw some preliminary conclusions about its insufficient accuracy in determining the bridging agent composition.

Keywords: drilling mud; colmatant; fractional composition; colmatation; porosity; permeability; bottomhole zone of the well; dispersion; filtration and capacitive properties.

The paper considers one of the methods that is applied for elimination of flushing fluid absorption. On average, up to 20–25 % of calendar time is spent on liquidation of absorptions. A new model of a special tool for the elimination of absorption zones of process fluid in the form of a two-way ball valve is presented, which is included in the assembly of the drill stringbottom zone. This model allows for reclamation of an absorbing formation in the wellbore in winter, excluding freezing of the kelly, manifold standpipe and manifold line during the preparation of subsequent portions of the solution with fillers.

Keywords: absorption of process fluid; complications during the construction of oil and gas wells; hydromechanical packer; freezing of the discharge pipeline; double-branch ball valve.

As a result of liquid accumulation at the well bottom, there often arises a problem of wells water loading and a decrease in the flow rate of the produced natural gas. The paper describes the successful experience of PJSC "Gazprom" specialists of using concentric lift strings (CLS) in order to remove the accumulated fluid. The possibilities of their technical improvement are analyzed.

Keywords: well water loading; concentric lift strings; removal of fluid; PJSC "Gazprom".
