HEURISTIC ALGORITHM FOR ESTIMATING THE QUALITY OF LOG DATA

The article is devoted to the development of scientific principles, methods and technologies of automated quality control of the primary data recorded during the geophysical studies in wells. The decision on the termination of logging at a certain well is often associated with subjective assessments of operators. The authors argue the need for automated devices of error detection and quality control of the recorded data during or immediately upon completion of studies. The article gives a brief overview of the currently existing approaches to the problem of quality control of well logging data, identified weaknesses of the methods considered. The article also explains the inapplicability of common simple statistical and spectral methods as similarity criteria of geophysical studies objects. Some gradient criterion of similarity of geophysical research objects is proposed. An algorithm based on the methods of iterative modeling of incomplete data by means of minimal-dimensional manifolds is proposed for solving the problem of assessing the recording data quality of well logging. The results of numerical experiment on the solution of the problem of quality control data of well logging are submitted.

USE OF CONDUCTOR SYSTEMS

WHILE CARRYING-OUT UNDERWATER-TECHNICAL OPERATIONS

At present carrying-out of standard underwater-technical operations (installation of drilling and production platforms, temporary or stationary anchor-mooring lines and facilities as well other engineering operations) on the continental shelf requires essential financial and time expenses. Besides, when sea disturbance is more than 3-4 balls and underwater currents exceed 3…4 knots such works are postponed due to impossibility of using divers or remotely operated vehicles for their provision.

Conductor systems supplied by remote breakers are proposed to provide a wide range of underwater-technical operations. Some results of their many-year usage while providing ecological safety of a man’s activity (fishing, navigation, hydrocarbons production, etc.) on the continental shelf are presented.

In recent decades, the Russian Federation standardization follows the course of compliance to ISO standards and that fact led to the impossibility of solving the problems of competitiveness of Russian technologies and equipment. Thus, competitiveness indicator has disappeared from the list of standardization main objectives and that brought widening of the gap between the concepts of import substitution and competitiveness. To solve the problems of import substitution it is firstly necessary to create its own technological base, which should be promoted and controlled by the state. Only such approach will lay the foundation for competitive Russian equipment used in oil and gas industry.

ENHANCEMENT OF DRILLING EQUIPMENT EFFICIENCY

DESIGNED FOR REACTIVE TURBO DRILLING (p. 17)

The results of work aimed at improving of the drilling instrument used for reactive turbo drilling are presented in the article. The analysis of the structures and operation of the assemblies that realize reactive turbine drilling is conducted. The basic design weak points of the existing drilling tools that are used in the process are revealed. The kinematics of rolling cutter drilling bit in conditions of reactive turbo drilling is studied. Mathematical modeling of movement of a rolling-cutter tooth of a drill bit, working in the unit a reactive turbodrilling assembly is performed.

The conducted studies served the basis for development of some structural scheme of a rolling cutter drilling bit with differently oriented carbide teeth cutting structures for drilling medium abrasive rocks. It allows significant enhancement of the instrument operational efficiency due to even teeth wear-out of all cutting structures rows and energy consumption reduction during rock destruction. Application of the proposed structural scheme will improve mechanical penetration rate and reduce the drilling cost of large diameter wells when using reactive turbo drilling.

DETERMINATION OF FROCTION FORCE BETWEEN TRACTION ROD

Determination of friction force between the traction rod and the guide in a sucker rod pump of inserted type is studied in the given article. Differential equation of the curved axis served the basis for getting analytical expression to determine friction force.

Calculations have been carried out and it has been determined that by increasing traction force decline from the plunger movement direction friction force obtains considerable significance. It is mentioned that in well conditions in case of friction availability due to the wear-out, traction rod can lose its weight up to 60 % within one month of a well pump work.

FACTORS THAT DETERMINE PACKING ABILITY

OF PACKER EQUIPMENT SEAL (p. 25)

The article considers the problem of studying the factor that determines the packing ability of wells’ packers seal. It is determined that 30…40 % of failed operations happen due to packer seals failure. It is shown that tightening ability of packer equipment seals is determined by a complex of physical-mechanical and technological factors such as the value of internal and contact stresses encountered when using the seal, the size and the speed of movement, cleanness of the sealed surface. It was found out that sealing is provided due to compression deformation of packer rubber elements. The degree of the sealing element deformation should be sufficient to keep the sealing elements from dragging off their placement when they are under pressure effect of the medium, being tightened. Some factor of the seal form is identified to determine the initial contact stress that occurs during the sealing element deformation. The tightening effective area of the seal is taken into account as well. An analytical expression that determines the friction force on the contact surface of the sealing element and the pressure values causing the seal complete displacement when the seal is withdrawn from its placement is developed.

The pressure, required for a seal stability, and a seal contact pressure with account of the long-term operation of the packers (seal assembly) in a given temperature range are defined.

USE OF ELUATES OF CHEMICAL WASTEWATER PURIFICATION

OF A THERMAL-ELECTRIC POWER PLANT TO TREAT

Composition of eluates and alkali reclaim formed during regeneration of ion-exchange filters of a desalting unit is determined. It is shown that the main component of an eluate is magnesium sulfate eluate (54,0...92,7 mg-equ/l), alkali reclaim – sodium hydroxide (18,3…24,0 g/l). The dependence of water purification process on emulsified oil products, their concentration in water to be treated, the of the eluate dose, the content of the dissolved salts in it, temperature and pH is found out.

Averaged data witnessed the fact that treatment of oily wastewaters both by trademarks reagents (iron sulfate and milk of lime) and with the help of eluate and alkali reclaim provides approximately the same degree of wastewater purification from oil products and suspensions.

The intensification of oil production is accompanied by an increase of flooding, the reduction in bottomhole pressure, increased removal of mechanical impurities and other complications, among which it is very important to salt deposition. The article presents the causes and effects of scaling on downhole equipment, it is shown that even a small scale lead to a significant degradation of the characteristics of downhole pumping systems. Analysis of variants of inhibition, clarified that when the ECP is most effective is to use a chemical method to protect dosed injection of scale inhibitors. The concentration of inhibitors, providing effective protection depends on the salinity of formation fluids, water cut and flow rate. It is shown that optimization of protection against scaling using chemicals, you must have accurate and timely information about the well's production. The receipt of such information from standard individual or group metering stations is practically impossible, and therefore the proposed use of the developed intelligent software and hardware. Hardware-software complex consists of intelligent control station installation of ESP and control stations installation of injection of chemical reagents. The options presented to determine the rate wells with intelligent software and hardware systems based on pressure-flow rate and power characteristics. Identified the possibility of using intelligent software and hardware systems determine the flow rate and controlling the supply of chemicals to protect downhole equipment from salt deposits. Presents the results of field testing of systems for determining flow rate and control devices for supplying and dispensing of chemical reagents in the wells, equipped with electrically driven centrifugal pumps for oil extraction.

The article discusses the problems relating to obtaining of ultra-disperse powders by various methods. It is proved that methods of obtaining ultra-disperse powders are divided into two groups: chemical and physical. Physical methods of obtaining disperse nano-crystalline materials refer to that ones which envisage impact of external physical factors (mainly heat) on the initial substance, while chemical methods are those ones when the initial substance is subjected to external impact of other substances and physical factors, followed by break of old links between atoms and appearance of the new ones. The article includes classification of disperse systems, depending on the particle size of the disperse phase: molecular disperse particles – less than 1 nm; highly-disperse ones 1...100 nm; medium-disperse particles 100 nm...10 microns; coarse disperse particles are more than 10 microns. The schemes of getting ultra-disperse powders by the methods of evaporation-condensation and gas-disperse synthesis are presented as well.

The results of researches of the coverings’ structure and properties applied by the method of "cold" gas-dynamic dusting are given and the mechanism of properties formation is presented. The researches include cohesion and bond durability of coverings of nickel, copper, aluminum, zinc; dependence of the applied metal hardness on technological parameters of the process; friction coefficient parameters of coverings of nickel and zinc and corrosion resistance in the weak electrolyte medium. Use of the method of "cold" gas-dynamic dusting for repair and restoration of the equipment while producing and processing hydrocarbons under the influence of considerable loadings, aggressive and aggressive-abrasive medium will allow reducing costs on purchasing some new spare parts and raising the life-time of the operational ones.

The results of experimental assessment of cumulative perforation effects on the armored model of a well support, represented by metal discs of 90 mm diameter and 10 mm, thickness with the cement stone between them are presented in the article. Tests using a single charge or a couple of charges were carried out in atmospheric conditions and under the pressure of 10 MPa. It is proved that the perforation depth of the model of the well support and the carbonate reservoir is the most one when penetrating without pressure. Installation of the aluminum protector on the casing string model provides 50...70 % reduction of fracturing. When using "SPARKA" perforation system in samples, simulating carbonate reservoir, there appears additional fracture network, connecting perforation channels with each other, thus increasing the reservoir permeability in the near-well area.

The article presents some method applied for resistance forces calculation during pulling and running of a drill-pipe casing string (based on field data), which includes light-alloy drill pipes.

Assessment of drilling of 12 directional wells located in Gyuneshli area by quality factor values was carried out in order to select the wells for resistance forces calculation.

Quality factor of directional wells is determined by the well-known formulas, based on the presence or absence of kinks due to the change of zenith and azimuth angles. The formulas used for resistance forces calculation are presented. Preliminary calculations served the basis for selecting the well quality factor the value of which equals to approximately 1.

For the wells, selected by the quality factor, resistance forces calculation was carried out during lifting of the casing string, consisting of steel pipes, as well as casing string with light-alloy pipes.

Some comparative analysis of the results obtained was conducted and evaluation of the effectiveness of directional wells drilling using drill-pipe casing strings, which included light-alloy pipes was given.
