While producing high-viscous oil one of the topical problems is reduction of oil lifting costs, particularly when using sucker-rod pumping units. This paper discusses two engineering solutions with one common feature involving heavy oil lifting via casing-tubing annulus, which eliminates contact between the rod string and the well stream. The authors present technical solutions for the existing plunger sucker-rod pumps to eliminate their design drawbacks, as well as a novel solution for progressive cavity pumping units. Schemes of plunger and progressive cavity pumping units, the results of testing these pumps while producing heavy oil in a well with oil dynamic viscosity of 16000…14200 MPa·s (21,7 % water cut, 20 °C, 1,418…7,611 s–1 shear rate), as well as guidelines for their application are given in this paper.

When diagnosing and examining industrial safety according to current normative documents, the strength calculations of flat edgeless bottoms of thin-walled vessels for filling and horizontal tanks working under hydrostatic operating pressure show that often the minimum allowable design thickness exceeds the actual one. In accordance with the regulations further operation of such vessels and tanks requires repairing of bottoms, namely, reinforcement, which is a costly solution. As oil and gas industry is operating a large number of such vessels and tanks that decision presents a problem for the companies operating this equipment.

Analysis of the results of the diagnosis proves the fact that most of these bottoms have an actual minor permanent deformation – the deflection with a maximum below the center of the bottom. The results of bottoms’ deformation measurements served the basis for building calculation model and suggesting a new approach to strength evaluation of flat edgeless bottoms thin-walled vessels for filling and horizontal tanks with account of deformation and load distribution along height of working liquid loading. It allowed substantiating possibility of further exploitation of thin-walled vessels for filling and horizontal tanks without repairing.

Valves are one of the important elements of pumps’ hydraulic part. Their work largely determines the perfection degree of pumps’ design (suction lift, volumetric efficiency factor and the delivery rate), the dynamics of the pump unit operation (unevenness of torque on the shafts). In accordance with regulatory requirements, perfection of the structures’ design and efficiency of the mud pump operation mainly envisage limitation of pumps’ mechanical and hydraulic losses. That’s why, further research aimed at developing some new design and technological solutions with the view of increasing valves’ service life seem promising and relevant as it will allow improving technical-economic indicators of mud pumps operation and drilling process as a whole.

Reliability of mud pumps depends on many factors: flow, outlet pressure, durability of components and hydraulic parts, etc. Terms of valves’ closure delay limitation, guarantee of a plate shock-free landing, piston speed, achievement of the pump’s required operational durability can be taken as reliability criteria.

Determination of the optimal flow-rate coefficient, the seat flow-passage area and the valve slit with account of the pumped fluid influence is an urgent task to ensure the sound operation of a mud pump. The article presents some methodology of calculation of valves’ geometric dimensions of piston drilling pumps.

The majority of acid compositions are based on hydrochloric acid. When acid compositions are used to enhance production from carbonates, very little, if any, attention is given to mineral composition of carbonate rocks, as a rule. The paper presents summarized data on chemical analysis of mineral composition of carbonate core samples from Tatarstan oil fields. Different reservoir types are grouped by calcite content. It was found that the rocks of the same formation have similar mineral content. So, the Bashkirian rocks are characterized by increased dolomite content (up to 27 %), while the Upper Famennian and the Protvinskian rocks are, predominantly, composed of calcite (up to 95…96 %).

Methods to retard acid reaction rate have been considered, in particular, additives retarding dissolution rate of carbonate components, and hydrochloric acid replacing by other acids. New chemical agents for acid composition preparation are studied and proposed; recommendations on acid compositions for each development target are given. The conclusions are confirmed by laboratory tests.

The paper discusses some methodology of acid compositions selection to enhance oil formations productivity of producing wells and water intake capacity of injection wells in low-permeable carbonate and terrigene reservoirs strictly following the general technological characteristics. It is shown that before implementation of any technological process in field conditions using any acid composition (when choosing an acid composition) determination of the reagent compatibility with reservoir fluids and rocks is of vital importance, i.e. any case requires individual approach which should be based on in-depth study of geological-field conditions of a target formations.

The article discusses the relevance of a boiler transfer from diesel fuel to natural gas on the example a particular company LLC "Nova Energy Services", located in the Yamalo-Nenets autonomous district in Nadym region (permafrost zone), where problems of fuel expensiveness and environment protection against flue gases with harmful substances are especially urgent. It is shown that during operation of a boiler plant with diesel fuel there appear such problems as the necessity of liquid fuels storage with the corresponding tightening of fire protection and anti-freezing measures. These and other problems can be solved by a boiler plant conversion to gas. Technical parameters of a boiler plant are given, some analysis of the calculations of the dispersion of harmful substances emission into the atmosphere from the source under study is presented. The stages and technological specific features as well as the environmental effectiveness of a boiler plant modernization executed by the above-said company "Nova Energy Services" at Yurkharovskoye oil and gas-condensate field (cluster No. 2) are disclosed.

Thermal processes top the list of enhanced oil recovery methods used for heavy oil production. Technologies involving thermochemical reaction in the near-wellbore region have proved their effectiveness for heavy oil production. Thermochemical nitrogen generating compositions have become a common practice. An example of thermochemical nitrogen generating composition is an aqueous solution of sulphamic acid and sodium nitrate.

The paper presents laboratory data on determination of temperature of thermochemical reaction between aqueous solutions of sulphamic acid and sodium nitrate. An optimal composition of chemical agents for the reaction has been determined. In lab conditions, high-temperature rheological properties of gel-forming compositions based on water-soluble polymer were defined; optimum content of polymer and cross-linking agent for a gel-forming composition was estimated.

The paper presents results of laboratory studies of heavy oil electric dehydration and desalting processes. A bench-top small electric dehydrator with innovative resistive composite electrodes that allow generating up to 5 kV/cm electric intensity between the electrodes was used in laboratory testing.

Laboratory results show that dehydration of heavy oil with 965 kg/m3 density requires electric intensity of no less than 1 kV/cm, while heavy oil desalting of 924 kg/m3 density requires minimum 0,5 kV/cm. Salt content reduction in heavy oil is basically governed by the dynamics of fresh water dispersing in oil and the efficiency of its mixing with residual produced water.

Nowadays the problem of the effective oilfields redevelopment in Pripyat oil- and gas-bearing basin is becoming more and more urgent. Water-alternated gas injection with carbon dioxide as an agent is one of the most advanced methods for oil recovery enhancement. WAG technology possesses very high potential and wide application criteria. The main advantage of this method is possibility of its application in different geological-physical conditions. To achieve maximum effectiveness of WAG method implementation, a complex of carbonated water drive experiments was performed. The article presents the results of researches carried out to determine WAG optimal regimes with CO2 use in "BelNIPIneft". The experiments were conducted in dynamic mode at "Autoflood 700" special laboratory equipment intended for studying multi-phase filtration processes with P&T conditions simulation of Voronezhsky horizon of Rechitskoe oilfield.

One of the trends of polymer technologies development is micro-gel systems as colloidal-dispersion gels. The mechanism of colloidal-dispersion gels formation is based on intra-molecular poly-acryl-amide cross-linking. The advantage of colloidal-dispersion gels over other polymer solutions is the fact that micro-gel polymer systems are characterized by high penetrating ability in porous medium that allows changing fluid flows in deep zones of a formation.

The paper presents PJSC "Tatneft" experience of application of micro-gel polymer systems in conditions of high water cut and permeable heterogeneity of multi-zone reservoirs.

The experience of the case studies is presented, micro-gel polymer mechanism is explained. Enhanced oil recovery is achieved through the improvement of a reservoir sweep and diverting of fluid flows resulting from plugging of high permeability formation zones.

The article discusses the problems relating to the development of the methodology to be applied for control over investment-construction programs implementation by big industrial companies.

Modern market environment provides implementation of investment and construction programs in conditions of constant dynamism of both external and internal environment that necessitates the management decision-making under uncertainty. Formation of adequate organizational and administrative management tools when controlling implementation of investment and construction programs largely depends on the careful consideration of information links between the project leaders and the individual independent executors. In this case the effectiveness largely depends on the management and information tools of managerial decision-making and corresponding organizational and administrative influence, which provides the basis for managing over investment programs implementation.

In order to improve efficiency of investment-construction processes management, reduce total costs and expenses while implementing programs and projects, special attention should be paid to the formation of effective principles and organizational-economic conditions that will provide effective management of investment and construction processes in the overall business pattern of a production company.

The article reveals some specific features of formation of complex organizational and managerial tools that will provide implementation of investment and construction programs in conditions of modern economic realities.

The article presents substantiation of experimental technique to be applied for studying the generation of relaxation currents while destructing rock by drilling. The advantages and disadvantages of three laboratory experimental stands based on SKB-5 modernized: drilling rig, apparatus for determining the rock drillability (POB-1) and GS2112 vertical drilling machine are discussed and analyzed. Choice of the vertical drilling rig for studying is substantiated by the possibility of carrying out experiments with variation of all characteristics of a drilling mode, the experimental conditions proximity to the real drilling process, the possibility of concurrent experiments with different rocks and rock cutting tools.

The article gives the description of rock cutting tools, rock samples, all of which allowed conducting researches for a wide range of geological conditions. The choice of several registration schemes of relaxation currents during the experiment is also grounded. The article also describes some method of experiment planning and the algorithm of its conducting. The technique of experimental data processing as an analysis of relaxation currents by amplitude-frequency characteristics is presented and substantiated s well.

The utility model belongs to the devices for petroleum products storage and can be used while fuel receiving, storing and delivering from the tanks. The device allows diagnosing the change of a tank bottom contour without its release from an oil product. The device operation is based on the determination of mechanical stress of cable sections by a reflection meter.
