The article deals with problem of determination of the dependence of stress-compression strain for a downhole sealing packer which is complicated by the non-uniformity of volumetric stress distribution caused by a geometric form and dimensions of packers sealing elements. The coefficient of the rubber shape (sealing) is used to study the influence of the geometric form and the sealing packer dimensions on the deformation characteristic. As the sealing packer is manufactured from some rubber material, its physical properties can be described by means of the function of the deformation elastic energy referred to a volume unit. That’s why the deformation elastic energy, accumulated in the elastic element during compression, that is during operation, characterizes its deformed state. As the elastic element is non-uniform, only experimental researches were conducted

The deformation elastic energy (average value) accumulated in the elastic element, is experimentally determined for a sealing element. This deformation energy is calculated in accordance with the graphic of the axis effort dependence on the deformation of the elastic element.

The article presents the results of the work aimed at updating of calibrators constructions. Based on the analysis of the causes, leading to the drilled wells narrowing within a drill bit single flight, as well as major shortcomings of the constructions of the series-production gauging tools that lead to premature wear out of calibrators during their operation, several options of the constructions of drilling tool of this type have been developed.

The calibrators proposed constructions allow, on the one hand, to improve the reliability and efficiency of their work, and, on the other hand, to simplify the construction as compared to the existing serial analogues, thus reducing the cost of the tool manufacture.

The practical use of roller-cone calibrators’ new constructions makes it possible to significantly improve the efficiency of wells penetration due to the increased operational resource of rolling cutters pins, larger operational durability of cutting structures, good balance of the operational resource of bit legs cutting structures, more reliable housing construction, that ensure trouble-free operation of the tool. All this ultimately will increase the efficiency and reduce the cost of drilling.

High-quality well cementing is an important and crucial technological stage when constructing exploration and production wells for hydrocarbon production. The article considers two options of wells walls cementing, such as the traditional way (a casing string lowering followed by cementing) and by means of placing of the expanded casing strings in a pre-advanced widened wellbore without cementing. The latest technology is also known as placement of profile packers into a well and is widely used in case of geological complications (absorption, diking, etc.) to cement wells walls without changing the diameter of wells.

The purpose of the article is the study of the profile packer stability in a well during its further construction. To do this, an experiment was conducted on a well’s model with a profile packer placed in it. The results of the study proved the influence of the well’s diameter size on the profile packer stability under the axial load. It is also found that the expanded drill-pipe casing strings can be used under certain geological conditions instead of the intermediate casing strings.

ONE MORE METHOD OF HEAVY OIL RECOVERY

FROM A FORMATION (p. 33)

The article discusses the problem of development of one more method of heavy oil extraction, allowing to reduce oil viscosity and to increase oil recovery of a formation.

The essence of the proposed method of heavy oil extraction from a formation lies in an oxidant injection through the injection well, followed by water-flooding. 10 % mixture of aqueous potassium dichromate or sodium solution added by turpentine in the volume of 0,10…0,90 per 1 m3 of the mixture is injected into the well as the oxidant, herewith, the total amount of the injected agents makes not more than 0.1 of a formation pore volume. In this case the new one is the proposed heat carrier.

The expected economic efficiency as compared to the well-known methods consists of several sources, such as oil recovery enhancement up to 5 %, 5…6 times lower cost of reagents, improved inhibitory ability of the proposed compositions as well as the environmental feasibility of new reagents use.

Intensification of oil production and increase of a formation oil recovery when injecting heat transfers are achieved by oil viscosity reduction, thermal expansion of a formation oil and formation of skeletons as well as by capillary impregnation intensification (for hydrophilic formations). It results in oil mobility and relative permeability increase, reservoir coverage by the displacement agent, thus forming conditions of oil replacement from low-permeable rock pillars due to the counter flow of capillary impregnation.

The article presents the results of experimental studies carried out to find the influence of electro-chemically activated water on porous media filtration characteristics.

It is determined that, when injecting electro-chemically activated water into a porous medium, a remarkable decrease of mobility factor as compared to the fresh water is observed. It is shown that when filtrating electro-chemically activated water through porous media, saturated with fresh water, pH value increases in time from the values, close to the value of the fresh water, to the values close to the injected electro-chemically activated water.

Based on the studies, in case of a formation stimulation, the possibility of using electro-chemically activated water to regulate working agents mobility is spotted.

Oil recovery factor is an important parameter when developping fields and reflects the oil potential volume that can be produced using different stimulation agents. The experimental data on the determination of oil recovery factor are of great importance when evaluating fields’ recoverable reserves. Besides, with the data on the oil replacement nature and the value of the oil recovery factor during the waterless and watery periods, it is possible to predict the process of wells water-flooding and to plan complex geological-technical measures aimed at a more complete recovery of oil.

This article presents the results of laboratory tests carried out to determine the oil recovery factors and their increase due to cyclic stimulation, use of surfactants and capillary imbibition conducted on carbonate-type core from the oilfields of the Belarus Republic.

METHODS OF LIQUIDATION OF LIQUIDS COLUMNS ACCUMULATED

IN GAS-CONDENSATE WELLS BOTTOM (p. 48)

Gyulbakhar Gyulmamedovna Mamedova

Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University

34, Azadlyg prosp., AZ1010, Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan,

e-mail: gulbahar.mammadova@mail.ru

The article deals with the ways of complications elimination occurring when operating gas-condensate wells.

Due to the fact, that at the latest stage of a gas–condensate field development gas production and gas flow rate in the lifting pipes column are significantly reduced, the liquid phase (condensate) together with gas are not extracted in the full volume. The liquid, accumulated in the well’s bottom area reduces the depression and disorders the normal work of the well. That’s why, in the fields timely extraction of the liquid, accumulated in the well’s bottom area, is done by blowing, that is by removing its production into the atmosphere. However, small values of wells’ bottom pressures in deep wells make application of this method ineffective. So, with account of the above-mentioned facts the article proves the efficiency of the use of surface-active substances (SAS) and new technologies.

New technology and technics make it possible to avoid formation of the liquid column formation in wells at the expense of increase of gas-liquid mixture rate in the lifting tubing. Herewith, it is required to choose such working modes of wells under which there would be no complications. It can happen due to the reduction of the lifting tubes diameter or increase of the rate of liquid flow movement in the lifting tubes.

The article discusses the problems of elastic-plastic stressed state of field pipelines. Stability during oxidation is associated with pipes materials stress in case of presence of non-equal volume changes, caused by lateral surfaces oxidation.

Relative change of metal, caused by oxidation, is presented by a multi-stage function. At the first stage, the elastic solution of the problem is found taking into consideration the Mises fluidity condition. At the second phase, the occurring plastic flows in the oxide layer are determined. It is proved that prolonged pressure on a pipeline’s surface leads to cracks appearance.

Irregular addition of distribution of volumetric changes are the reason for occurrence of macro-stresses in pipelines similar with thermal tensions in case of non-equal heating. These macro-tensions affect the kinetics of oxidation processes. That’s why, at the beginning the resilient of problems elastic solution is firstly considered and only after that the plastic flows stresses that appear in the oxide layer are researched.

At present, when constructing oil pipelines in the northern territories of Russia, pipelines covered by foamed polyurethane (FPU) insulation are more and more widely used to reduce corrosive wear out. However, in case of pipelines with FPU insulation, due to the less heat losses from the pipe metal as compared to the conventional insulation, the pipe displacement during self-compensation is greater and, accordingly, the stress level in the areas of their concentration is higher. Significant fluctuations of the outside air temperature due to the lack of self-compensation at some separate segments of buried oil pipelines lead to their increased deformation with outcrop to the soil surface. High stress concentration at installation joints of these segments is formed following the development of damages in them.

The article considers the experience of application of non-contact magneto-metric diagnostics to assess the real stress-strain state of a pipeline segments with FPU insulation and to determine the most stressed installation butt joints susceptible to damages development. Recommendations on the concentration level reduction at the oil pipeline segments under consideration are provided.
