Six lithotypes were identified in the sediments of the Bazhenov formation of the Krasnoleninsky Arch, the diversity of which is associated with both changes in the sedimentation environment conditions and the secondary sedimentation processes. Based on lithological studies, a characteristic of each lithotype is given. The presented set of them creates favorable conditions for the allocation of reservoir zones in the section of the Bazhenov formation.

This paper describes modern tectonic movements in the southeastern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula and the north of the Kuril Islands, the results of a study of effusive rocks of the Neogene-Paleogene and Quaternary age according to the results of observations in the framework of a field geological seminar in 2019 organized by LLC "SamaraNIPIneft". A brief summary of the prospects for oil and gas potential in Kamchatka territory and the adjacent water areas is presented. Oil and gas manifestations on the land of Kamchatka are probably residual as a result of a complex tectonic history. The main prospects are associated with offshore areas where a huge amount of sedimentary material was accumulated and hydrocarbon deposits could be expected. The source oil and reservoir horizons are confined to deposits of the Lower Miocene, Oligocene and Eocene. According to molecular studies of hydrocarbon biomarkers, oil manifestations of the Western Kamchatka are associated both with marine Cretaceous strata and with continental oil source strata of Neogene and Paleogene.

Keywords: tectonic movements; Kamchatka Peninsula; the prospects for oil and gas potential; effusive rocks; hydrocarbon deposits; molecular studies.

The study objective is to identify promising areas most likely containing hydrocarbon accumulations not penetrated by wells. The sequence-stratigraphic approach has been applied based on the integration of 2D seismic, core analysis and well logging data.

Keywords: Sredne-Messoyakha Arch; Antipayuta Basin; sequence stratigraphy; clinoform complex.

Geomechanical modeling is one of the most effective risk assessment tools when planning drilling, hydraulic fracturing of a formation (HFF), well operation and fields development, especially when implementing the above-said activities in difficult geological conditions.

The condition required for creation of a high-quality geomechanical model is the availability of reliable source data. To obtain them, a significant amount of laboratory core research is required, including determination of elastic-strength properties.

The paper formulates proposals aimed at core studies optimization for elastic-strength properties, which will improve the quality of planning and the effectiveness of core studies. The proposed approach to the selection of the core research interval consists in isolating the mechanofacies based on a preliminary geomechanical model, determining the type and number of core studies, and correctly assessing the boundary conditions of core testing. Such an integrated approach provides reliable and sufficient data for geomechanical modeling.

The article presents the results of innovative well operation equipment testing and a new mode of wells operation, including horizontal wells with one or more operation facilities. The article describes the experience of construction, completion and operation of horizontal wells of small diameter, methods for the average flow rate increasing at these wells. The working principles of downhole-pumping equipment with an electric valve, configured for optimal depressions for each operation facility are presented. This approach in the operation of horizontal, sub-horizontal and directional wells of small diameter allows the flow rate increasing, the payback period of wells reducing and the technical and economic indicators of complex multi-layer objects development improving. The further promising trend of this technology development is to apply the two reservoirs separate-alternate operation mode alongside with the implementation of the mode of separate-alternate injection into the exploited reservoirs through an affecting injection well in the center of the development facility.

Keywords: carbonate reservoirs; horizontal wells; simultaneously-separate operation; optimal design; average flow rate; attached object; double porosity; separate-alternate injection; development facility; integrated approach.

The paper describes the experience of PC group deposits operation in the Nizhnevartovsk region. The degree of depletion of oil deposits reserves is low. The deposits development system is not formed. The results of the experimental determination of the oil displacement coefficient by water, gas and with alternate injection of gas and water on the core, studies on the use of cyclic flooding and tracer studies, which make it possible to make a decision on their effectiveness and planning of further work, are presented.

The paper analyzes the disadvantages of the Leverett J-function and the Brooks – Corey function used for capillary curves of reservoirs in Western Siberia approximating. The density distribution functions of pore channels obtained using these functions are monotonous and do not have an extremum, which contradicts the results of laboratory studies of core samples from productive layers in Western Siberia.

In this paper, we propose to apply a second-degree polynomial in a logarithmic coordinate system as a generalized correlating function of the normalized water saturation. In this case, the accuracy of approximation in the medium and high capillary pressure area increases sharply.

Using a generalized correlation function, analytical expressions for the pore channel size distribution density for individual productive layers of a number of deposits in Western Siberia are obtained.

It should be noted that the function of pore channels distribution density can also be obtained using reservoir parameters estimated by well geophysical study results.

Keywords: reduced water saturation; capillary pressure; pore distribution density; porosity and permeability correlations.

The technique of studying the elastic and strength properties of cementing materials used in the construction of wells in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area is considered. The studies were conducted on the example of two compositions of cement at different times of hardening of the cement stone and under the influence of clay acid reagent. The experimental results showed, for both types of cements, an increase in the tensile strength and elastic module, as well as a decrease in the Poisson’s ratio during hardening. It is shown that the effect of clay acid reagent has a negative effect on the strength characteristics of the cement stone, which increases with an increase in the period of time for clay acid treatment.

Keywords: cement; cement stone; tensile strength; elastic module; Poisson’s ratio; clay acid reagent.

Reservoir properties of the near-wellbore zone of clastic formations deteriorate when developing oil fields. Elastic wave treatment of the porous rock can restore oil inflow to a production well by changing the structure of the pore space. Based on experimental data, the paper studies the effect of elastic wave action on the geomechanical properties of clastic rocks. Reliability of experimental data is validated by the Student t-criterion. The correlation dependences of the Young’s modulus and the relative deformation of the samples on the frequency and amplitude of the dynamic load under wave action are built. Equations and boundary conditions are obtained for determining the Young’s modulus under elastic wave action. An analysis was performed using multiple regression of the Young’s modulus and relative deformation of the samples (dependent variables) with the frequency and amplitude of the dynamic load (independent variables) and the regression equation was obtained. The reliability of the regression equations is validated by the Fisher criterion and Student t-criterion. It has been established that under the wave impact on clastic rock with a porosity of 15… 21 % and a permeability of 0,1…0,9 μm2, the control parameter for changing the geo-mechanical and reservoir properties is the frequency of the applied load.

Keywords: experimental data; elastic wave treatment; regression analysis; control parameter; the Student’s t-criterion; correlation analysis; geomechanical properties; reservoir properties; rock properties.

Numerous studies have shown that the main goal of stimulating well operation is to increase productivity by removing damage to the bottom of the formation and bottom of the well. Under field conditions, stimulation is usually applied to fracturing, acid treatment of reservoirs and acid treatment of cracks (acid fracturing).

In this paper, a more generalized concept of the skin effect is proposed, which is one of the idealizations that combines the most important aspects of damage to the bottom hole and bottom hole zone of a production well. In this case, there is a scientific and practical sense to consider stimulation as a method to reduce the value of the skin effect. This article proposes a new parameter "generalized skin effect" or "generalized skin factor", which, with the appearance of a negative value, gives a positive effect, i.e. increases well performance and productivity.

Keywords: the radius of the hole; permeability; pressure at the bottom and at the mouth; skin factor; skin effect.
