Based on the information, including the data of seismic exploration and in-depth sedimentological studies of cores from sections of the barrier reef zone, in-shelf depression, slope and near-edge zones, the geological structure and history of the development of the Mukhanovo-Erokhovsky trough of the Kama-Kinelskaya system was analyzed. The author's conceptual tectonic-sedimentation model of the trough formation with the development of various structural-facies zones during the Late Devonian and Early Carboniferous ages in the context of regional and global events is presented. Particular attention is paid to the prerequisites for the formation of non-anticlinal hydrocarbon traps in the clinoform strata of the trough filling. The perspective directions of prospecting for oil deposits in carbonate clinoforms are considered.

Keywords: Upper Devonian; Lower Carboniferous; intrashelf depression; Kama-Kinelskaya system; barrier zone; Domanic facies; organic matter; clinoforms; carbonate debris; turbidites.

Currently, a promising resource base for future projects of the company is oil and gas reserves located in the Bolshekhetskaya zone of fields. The Nakhodkinskoye field is confined to the poorly cemented rocks of the Cenomanian complex (PK1–6 layers) of the Bolshekhetskaya zone. An integrated model has been built and is in commercial operation for the field, with increased requirements for convergence. To build high-quality forecasts for natural gas production using the integrated model, it is proposed to clarify its main component – the reservoir model by updating the effective thicknesses in the geological model, taking into account the revision of the calculation parameters.

Keywords: Cenomanian complex; weakly cemented rocks; calculation parameters; material balance; integrated model; reservoir pressure.

The paper presents information about the creation of an operating quality control system over the field seismic exploration. After conducting special studies, the necessity of introducing such a system is shown. The parameters by which quality control is carried out in most service companies conducting field seismic exploration are described. The maximum list of the proposed parameters is also detailed, according to which JSC "Bashneftegeofizika" performs quality control over the activities of topography-geodetic, drilling and blasting, vibration and seismic crews of the field party. The innovations of the system are systematization of all parameters in special databases and tools for their visualization for operational control and analysis of the activities of crews. The creation of a quality control system, which is described in the paper, allows transferring to a new, higher level of analysis of the work performed and planning of future work using artificial intelligence.

Keywords: field seismic survey; quality control system; artificial intelligence; analysis; planning; signal-to-noise ratio; dominant frequency.

Stratigraphic tie of on-land seismic survey results has long been limited by mainly deep and temporal tying of dynamically expressed regular reflections to the geological section. The modern level of seismic survey technology has long required a deeper approach to the stratigraphic tie. Not only depth and temporal tie of reflections to the geological section should be performed but also an assessment of the reflections phase drift, an assessment of errors in the correlation of low-stability reflections and caused errors of structural imaging, a relationship between the features of wave packets structure and the strata lithological structure and rock-facies sedimentation conditions should be established, the wave phenomena from productive formations should be identified and the nature of their changes when changing the formations reservoir properties should be determined and the quality of seismic data processing should be assessed based on the correspondence of the obtained wave field to the distribution of elastic properties in the section. A complete solution of all these problems will make it possible to improve the quality of 2D/3D CDP data processing, get rid of formal and subjective approaches to the geological interpretation of seismic data, increase significantly the structural imaging accuracy as well as the accuracy of the area lithofacial structure study, the accuracy of productive deposit and formation reservoir properties prediction and seismic study detailing level. This primarily meets the interests of subsoil users and besides it will contribute to the further development of seismic technology.

Keywords: seismic survey; vertical seismic profiling; acoustic logging; density logging; stratigraphic tie; structural imaging; reservoir properties prediction.

The paper presents the possibilities of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) method when studying various reservoir rocks of oil and gas to solve geological problems. The main content of the work was to consider the possibilities of the high-resolution method in the study of porosity metric, structural and mineralogical features of core samples. The study resulted in proving the practical significance of the SEM method when solving the problems related to the features of the structure and formation of oil and gas reservoirs.

The current scientific substantiation of technologies for cyclic water injection into productive formations is that reservoir pressure fluctuations caused by periodic shutdown of some injection wells lead to activation of mass transfer processes between layers of different permeability in layered heterogeneous productive formations.

At the same time, a correct mathematical analysis of such mass transfer processes shows that the crossflows of formation fluid between layers, caused by periodic changes in reservoir pressure, are in fact negligible and cannot cause any noticeable increase in oil recovery during their cyclic waterflooding. It has been established that the real mechanism of enhanced oil recovery during cyclic waterflooding is a change in the directions of filtration flows in the reservoir, leading to the displacement of oil pillars in stagnant zones of the reservoir into zones with higher displacement pressure gradients. It is also shown that the displacement of oil-saturated zones in layered heterogeneous layers increases the intensity of vertical capillary mass transfer between high and low permeability layers.

At the same time, it was found that the cyclical nature of the waterflooding process leads to a periodic displacement of oil-saturated zones in the opposite direction, which leads to a completely irrational zigzag movement of oil pillars to the producing wells. Hence it follows that to achieve the maximum possible effect of changing the directions of filtration flows in the reservoir, it is necessary to abandon the cyclical waterflooding in favor of a single, optimally calculated change in the injection modes. It should be noted that the optimal injection option presupposes incomplete shutdown of a part of injection wells, which leads to an increase in the trajectory of oil movement to the producing wells due to its bending, and the most rationally selected ratio of the volumes of injected water in injection wells, ensuring the maximum increase in oil recovery of productive formations.

Keywords: cyclic waterflooding; layered heterogeneous formations; capillary mass transfer; enhanced oil recovery.

Based on the experiments results of external thermobaric loads effect on argillaceous rocks, the manifestations of abiotic and microbiological reactions leading to a violation of the cap rocks and underground reservoirs properties are being analyzed. The performed calculations of the pore water saturation indexes by the poorly soluble calcium minerals showed that during the thermobaric loads changes that are typical for the injection and gas extraction conditions in underground storages the processes of dissolution or precipitation of salts might occur. The activity of microorganisms with the carbonic-cid gas formation, reduced forms of sulfur and iron and other reactions leading to changes in the surrounding geological space might become active.

Recommendations were given for taking into account the risks of the hydrochemical and microbiological factors manifestation of the geological environment’s destabilization of underground storages during the exploitation of combined storage facilities for hydrogen and methane.
