The works aimed at studying the efficiency of non-stationary effect have been conducted in Nothern Buzachy high-viscous oil field (Republic of Kazakhstan) within the last few years. The obtained results prove the fact that the non-stationary water-flooding technology is most effective when developing high-viscosity oil reservoirs. However, to maintain permanent high technological effect it is necessary to constantly modify the non-stationary effect technology as the mentioned technology is characterized by quick "ageing". The paper suggests some ways of enhancement of non-stationary water-flooding technology with the change of filtration flow direction at the expense of conversion of high-flow rate water-flooded producing wells into non-stationary operational mode.

Key words: non-stationary water-flooding; high-viscous oil; cyclic effect; oil recovery factor; water-cut.

The article discusses the problems of the substantiation of the use of a formation hydraulic fracturing (HF) as a method of oil recovery enhancement. The lack of studies of void space structure often leads to the fact that hydraulic fracturing of a formation does not reach its goal – inflow increase or, in case of a flow rate increase a formation hydraulic fracturing, water percentage. To get the assessment data of prediction of HF efficiency it is proposed to use 3D modeling of pore space and cement structure based on the results of X-ray micro-tomography (MT) of reservoir-rocks, which gives an idea of the heterogeneity of reservoir void space at the micro-level. For more accurate extrapolation of the data obtained at the micro-level there suggested their use in a set with the data of the sedimentary cover’s vertical fluid-conductivity that are obtained as a result of on-land geochemical surveys. The observations showed that the set of the data will make it possible to predict the dissemination of the hydraulic fracturing impact depending on the existing heterogeneity of the formation under development. The works relating to development of 3D models classification of voids and their impact on the hydraulic fracturing efficiency are underway.

The paper is aimed at researching and analyzing the experience and intermediate results of the polymer flooding in Nuraly oilfield that is located in South Turgay basin. The paper presents the parameters by which the field was chosen for polymer flooding as well as parameters that served the ground for studying the hydrodynamic interconnection between production and injection wells. The paper describes the geology of the oilfield, discusses the results of the pilot implementation of the technology in the field such as oil recovery enhancement, technological effectiveness, etc. The urgency of the work lies in the fact that the results can be used while planning future activities of polymer flooding in other fields as this project is the first one among others in Kazakhstan.

The contemporary state of development of a great number of West Siberia fields is characterized by high water-flooding of the production and due to the fact the problems of water shut-off (WSO) becomes more significant for oil production cost optimization.

The article analyzes water shut-off effectiveness in oil producing wells in case of isolation of some independent flooded intervals of producing reservoirs by low-viscous (1…10 cP) selective waterproofing sealants (in particular, Si-organic reagents "AKOR", "VTS", "NVTS" compounds and gellants on basis of cross-linked polyacrylamides. Optimum and boundary conditions of the most important factors of water shut-off efficiency on the basis of combination of Mann − Whitney criteria and Wald diagnostic test are defined. The methodology of WSO feasibility assessment in the specific well conditions with regard to its geological-physical bottom zone conditions and current production rates is developed.

The paper discusses the work of a perforated slope gas well in a homogeneous anisotropic reservoir in the stationary mode. The solution of Liebenson function distribution in a reservoir is obtained using the stationary point source. To describe the gas motion in a wellbore there used the equation of the progressive flow with account of local resistance. The method of calculation and examples of calculation of the gas inflow profile of and the plots of flow velocity along the wellbore with account the geological-physical properties of the productive reservoir, the wellbore trajectory and the depression on the layer is presented.

The paper presents the results of core laboratory studies when determining lithological composition and reservoir properties of terrigenous rocks. It is stated that clastic material grains composinges terrigenous rocks vary in their size, shape, degree of roundness and sorting granulometric and mineral composition, the type and composition of cement, its structure and ratio with grains. It is pointed out that these rocks specific features determine the pore space structure. The data about the reservoir properties dependence on the fractional composition are submitted. Layer-by-layer description of wells sections (including those without cores) is performed on the basis of wells geophysical survey (GIS) in combination with the core data. The influence of terrigenous rocks structural characteristics on the showings of gamma ray logging (GRL) is stressed. It is proved that when assessing hydrocarbon reserves the reservoir porosity can be determined by GRL diagrams. Equations of ∆Jγ = f(Êï) dependencies in a number of Perm region fields are obtained.

The current stage of oil and gas industry requires some new methods for evaluation and development of unconventional reservoirs. The low resistivity pays are an example of unconventional formations that can create additional challenges when assessing hydrocarbon potential. The high irreducible water saturation can be a reason for low resistivity pays, or it can be connected with the fact that standard interpretation techniques are ineffective for such formations. The low resistivity of the productive pay can be caused by clay content, conductive minerals, thin inter-bedding, etc. The correct determination of the reasons for low resistivity pays allows choosing the most effective method for interpretation.

Key words: well logging; low resistivity.

Practice has repeatedly proved the fact that dual injection (DI) is nowadays one of the most promising technologies in the field of development management. Mandrel DI technology involves the use of special chambers in the down hole equipment assembly designed for mounting of control devices and measuring gages in a well in the interval of the producing formation. Considering the advantages of DI scheme with mandrel technology application as compared with single-packer double-lift assemblies it is necessary to underline the following facts: firstly, the possibility of obtaining extra oil production due to separation of not two but three objects; secondly, the increase of wells’ potential wells for DI schemes application; third, the possibility of a well operation with the existing or isolated violation; fourth, the possibility of the assembly introduction even if the operational casing string narrows up to 142 mm. One more advantage lies in the possibility of transmitting information about a well’s work and the packer’s tightness in the telemetry system on-line.
