Institute of Petroleum Chemistry of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Science
IR and GC-mass spectrometry were used to determine compositions of organic impurities which are accumulated in water and bottom sediments upstream the Ob river basin because of natural and anthropogenic factors. It was determined that main contaminants are presented by the following hydrocarbons: alkanes of normal and isostructures, steranes, hopanes, alkylbenzenes and polycycloaromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs); and by the following oxygen-containing compounds: phthalates, fatty acids, their esters and triphenylphosphates. Homologues distributions are presented for each group of organic impurities.

Klaus units (used for hydrogen sulphide-bearing gases processing) are among the most dangerous sources of air pollution.
At present Klaus units operating in RF including Gazprom dobycha Orenburg Ltd., dont provide for world technological and ecological data both by the degree of H2S conversion into sulphur and by the composition of pollutants emissions into atmosphere.
In the article main factors effecting Klaus units operation indices are analized and reasons of deviation and search for this problem solution are presented.

In the last few years oil-producing companies develop different technological solutions aimed at waste utilization. But so far there is no any unified way of oil slime recycling to render them harmless. In this work a new technological method of using oil slime as a raw material for getting organic fertilizer is presented.
